CHAR DHAM YATRA

Access to the pilgrimage is either from Haridwar, Rishikesh or from Dehradun. The tradition is to visit the sites in the following order:

1. Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River and the head of the goddess Yamuna.
2. Gangotri, the source of the Ganges (River Ganga) and head of the goddess Ganga.
3. Kedarnath, where a form of the Hindu god Shiva is venerated as one of the twelve jyotirling.
4. Badrinath, the seat of the Hindu god Vishnu in his aspect of Badrinarayan.

These are four holy sites of India situated in Garhwal region. It is considered highly sacred by Hindus to visit Char Dham during  lifetime. Each place has its own legendary history.

– Yamnouti is the second most holy river of India. It is believed that bathing in it cleanses all sins and protects from painful death. There are many hot water springs near the temple;
Surya Kund is the most important among them.

Devotees boil rice and potatoes in the kund and accept it as a Prasad of the Devi.
– Gangotri Dham is dedicated to goddess Ganga. The river originates at Gaumukh.
– Kedarnatha is the most remote pilgrimage, it is believed that it was built by Pandavas and
was reconstructed in the 8 th century.
– One of the 108 Divya Desams and one of the most Holy places in India. Adi Shankacharya
found the idol of lord badri in Alaknanda River and put it up in a cave near the Tapt Kund.

The beliefs of people and the Mythology makes these places very interesting, no doubt they have the charm, so we are providing best deals on Char Dham Yatra.
