Kush Kalyani Trek Trek to an extensive bugyal in a blissful setting

A Journey to the source of River The Holy River Ganga Areas. The Holy River Ganges is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and its source. this is the only Ganga valley from where one can see .beautiful Bugyal and Meadows, Mountain.

Beautiful Kush-Kalyani, joyous with alpine forest and many Species of   flowers, is a very extensive bugyal in an idyllic setting – truly blessed by Nature.

It is the trek located on the Gangotri-Sri Kedarnath old bridle route near a place called Belak village and mala village, Kush kalayani bugyal , and can be approached from Ghuttu, a motor head in district Tehri. The other bugyal that can be reached from Ghuttu is the Panwali bugyal.

It is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Western Himalayas. A delight for trekkers, both in summer and winter, This is the only Ganga valley uttarkashi district from where one can see Bhagirathi peak  – I, II, III, . . Matri Peak, Raktvan  all together. One can also see the Tapovan And Nill Tal  (4600 Meters ) peaks from here.

Getting to the base camp  at uttarkashi

Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you Meet to our office member and drive to Uttarkashi.

By Air

Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun

Note:-  Bangalore to Dehradun Flight  Available &  Delhi to Dehradun

  1. Nandadevi Express – Train no: 12205 (Departure 11:50pm; Arrival – 5:40am)
  2. Dehradun Express – Train no: 12687 (Departure – 9:10pm; Arrival – 5:00am)

By Bus

There is regular bus service from Delhi to Dehradun, from Delhi, ISBT Kashmere Gate.

We would suggest you to take only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Private buses ply from outside ISBT and they are not trust worthiness.

Usually buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. From there you have to come to Dehradun Railway Station meet us railway stion 6:30 Am

Day 1: Pickup to you from Dehradun to Uttarkashi by taxi (154km) (5/6hrs) night stay in Hotel

Day 2: After breakfast from Uttarkashi to Malla Village by taxi (26km) (1.5.hrs) same day Trek to Sheela Gano Gaira Camp (07 km) (4/5hrs) night stay in camp

Day 3: After breakfast from, Sheela gano/ Gaira Camp to Kush Kalyani Bugyal (8 km) (3/4hrs)  (11,500 feet)  (3,556 Mt) night stay in camp

Day 4: After breakfast from, Kush Kalyani to Bugyal to Bhalak (7km) (3/4hrs) night stay in camp

Day 5 : After breakfast from  ,Bhalak to Lata Village Road head same day Drive to Uttarkashi/ Mussoori/ Dehradu

What to carry on a Trek?

The most common question of all Trekkers is what we carry on a trek or what to carry on a trek so if you plan to go for trekking, so here is about what you should carry on a trek ..!

First of all trekkers must bring the documents mentioned below

1. Government ID proof, carry original and a photocopy of any of these (Driving License, Adhar Card, Pan Card, Voter Id, etc.)

2. Medical certificate by a doctor

3. Risk certificates

1. Strongly built Trekking Shoes

2. Backpack (50 to 60 liters)

Clothes to Carry On A Trek

Carry clothes according to the season. In winters there is chilly cold and in summers the temperature remains cold. (Day and Night temperature varies)

Jacket

Take at least 2 jackets with you, it should be warm enough to protect you against the chilly cold.

Trekking Pants

You should have 2 3 trek pants on a week-long trek and take more for longer treks.

Thermals

At night the temperature lowers and to keep yourself warm and sleep comfortably wear thermals.

Warm clothes

Keep enough woolen layers and fleece according to the season.

T-Shirts

To avoid sunburns always carry full-sleeved t-shirts which dry easily and covers neck and arms properly.

Poncho/Raincoat

They are useful during rain and snowfall.

(Avoid using wet wipes and sanitary napkins during your trek because they are not biodegradable and cause harm to the environment. If you use them in the mountains make sure you bring them back with you.)

(Use medicines only after prescribed by the doctor) (In case of any problem arises during the trek follow the instructions given by your trek leader because they are certified in First Aid Mountaineering courses.)

Getting to high altitude can be a problem for some people, the risks are enormous but we minimize them by providing the best quality equipment which is changed on a regular basis.
