The trail is rough and is not a very good condition.

When you trek through the dense forest, trees accompany you and langoor’s hanging from one tree to another can be spotted there. Chirping of birds can be heard and rare species of birds can be seen here. The “Himalayan Monal” state bird of Uttarakhand is found in this area.

If you lack time to reach Cheludgad camp then 2 km ahead Taluka there is a campsite near a stream which is water source for that campsite. Setup your tents and enjoy dinner and night stay in tents.

Day 03- Seema (Cheludgad) to Devsu Bugyal (7 Km) (3/4 hours) (3000 m)

Have breakfast and start your trek towards Devsu Bugyal (packed lunch will be provided). As soon as the trek starts and you ascend slowly then you get the amazing views of wide valleys and mountains covered in snow, these views are breathtaking, adding more beauty to them the sight of waterfalls can be caught.

Hike through a thick forest, rich in foliage and Flora, plenty of wildflowers grow here. The best thing about the forest is it is home of some rare species rarely seen anywhere else, the trail through this forest is a great part to spot different species of animals and birds.

Continue trekking and after crossing last steep climb you can reach Devsu Bugyal, camping here is a delight, this meadow is picturesque amidst Ruinsara forest with surpassing views of Mt. Kala Nag and Swargarohini. Camp here for the night and enjoy relaxing stay in tents.

Day 04- Devsu Bugyal to Ruinsara Lake (12 Km) (6/7 hours) (3500 m)

Today is a long trek so carry enough water and have proper breakfast before starting your trek. Enjoy mesmerizing views offered by this place throughout your trek, you have to almost ascend till you reach Ruinsara Lake. You will find loose stones on the trail and the path is muddy and sometimes it becomes slippery, trek along the Supin River, this is the last day of trekking along this river.

Have your breakfast early in the morning with packed lunch so you can leave on time. The trail is covered by snow so carry proper trekking equipment, there are snow ridges which are steep and some are leveled.

Snow makes the trails challenging, the distance seems too long and you may get tired here so take rest breaks and then climb to the last ridge is exhilarating, finding the right route is difficult because of the large amount of snow. When you reach on top the glimpse of Yamunotri valley can be seen below.

Now a connecting ridge is visible, it is a sharp ascend to Bali Pass which is steep but it is only 10 minutes away, after reaching the top the panoramic views will leave you spell bound. Yamunotri, Bandarpoonch, Ruinsara and Black peak, they glimmer all together.

Descend, you need to be very careful while descending, use your equipment and slide down. A lot of distance can be covered in few time by sliding down and it is fun too. When you come down you can see snow fields and there are many trails to descend after some time forest of Upper and Lower Damnai will be visible, it is tricky to reach there, so be careful while your descent.

Your camping site is in the Upper Damnai region, it is a small spot for camping and a stream flows around it. Today was a hard day so have delicious food and relaxing stay in tents.
