Getting to the base camp H.P.M.A office – Sankri
Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you are  Meet to our Office member in railway Station Dehradun .

Description by (H.P.M.A) The drive till Sankri will take you through Nainbagh, Naugaon, Purola, Jarmola,Mori Naitwar (left from Naitwar will lead you to Dhaula, which is the base camp for Rupin Pass trek), and finally Sankri. If you are trekking with Indiahikes, we will mediate and arrange transportation for you from Dehradun to Sankri and back. The cost of the transportation is additional and is to be paid directly to the driver. Seema and Osla are prominent villages on the trail to Harkidun in the Western Garhwal region. The village folk have a prominent temple in their village but more importantly what they consider sacred is the Maldaru Lake. Maldaru is located about 1500 M above their village towards east. But this route steep. If you wish to enjoy the views, it is the route from Taluka that captures the imagination of all trekkers. It has a gentle gradient but takes you through places that are pristine and views that are picturesque. On day two you camp at Vishkhopri,

Cloaked in mystery, and located at an altitude of 3566m, this almost untouched land is situated in the westernmost part of the Himalayas. A challenge to the adventurers, Har-ki-Dun is supposed to have shared part of its history with the Pandavas.

Har-ki-Dun (Har stands for Hari, or Lord Krishna, the blue-god, and Dun means valley), lies in the westernmost Himalayas of Garhwal, sharing its boundary with eastern Himachal Pradesh, and is dominated by the Swargarohini peak (6096m).

Damdar Kandi trek is a must for a genuine adventurist. It is an unexplored trail in the Garhwal Himalayas, uttarakhand complimented with zero human presence and lots of challenges.

This expedition begins from Sankri Base Camp H.P.M.A and after crossing two high passes, snow draped peaks and splendid steep valleys, you reach Gangotri Feather in the hat is that along with the difficulties of the high passes, you will be witnessing the nature at its best. The path leading towards the Dhumdharkandi Pass is adorned with lush forest and beautiful alpine meadows. !

These splendors of Mother Nature are stretched up to Kiyarkoti The Dhumdar Kandi Pass (5608m) between 1st and 6th June, 2013. This pass is situated between Swargarohini (6,252m) and Bander Poonch (6,320m) in the Govind Pashu National Park in the Garhwal Himalayas. – vast grazing land. It is not that the wonders of nature come to end at Kiyarkoti, but they touch all new horizons here.

The alpine meadows of this area are bejeweled with vivid topography, at the top is the birch forest and at the bottom is the garden of boulders. From here the expedition heads off to a completely different landscape and you cross snow fields, screes, boulders and moraines for getting up at the top of the Dhumdharkandi Pass (5356. meters). Once reached, you will be welcomed by the spectacular sight of the lofty mountains, grand glaciers and wonderful valleys.

Thereafter, you will be sliding down into the Ruinsara Tal and Valley and then moving up on the top of a ridge for reaching Semma also called the .Sankri Herein the view of the Lift side Bandarpoonch (6389mtr) and Swargarohini Peak (6200mtr will be waiting for offering a delight to your eyes, and finally you will reach to the last station of this expedition – the pious shrine at Jhala/ harshil Gangotri

Har Ki Dun peak, it is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Western Himalayas. A delight for trekkers, both in summer and winter, this valley is accessible through Govind National Park – known for its rich variety of flora and fauna. The trail through alpine meadows, moraine ridges, glacier basins, pine forests and ancient villages, gives you spectacular valley views and a chance to experience the wonderful slow-paced local lifestyle.

This is the only valley from where one can see Swargarohini – I, II, III, (6300mt) Bandarpoonch and Blackpeak (6387mt) , all together. One can also see the Ruinsara Lake (3400 mt) peaks from here.


Day  1: Pick up to You from- Dehradun to Sankri Drive (210km) (7/8 Hrs) . (1920mt)Night stay Our Beautiful Hotel Swargarohini Palace harkidun Road Sankri
Through the Yamuna and Tons valleys across the Yamuna bridge, Nainbagh, Nowgaon, Purola, Jarmola (Jarmola is one of the biggest and most beautiful pine forests in Asia), Mori and Netwar. Trek to a tiny market in Sankri, a few wooden huts serve simple yet delicious food. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Swargarohini !!

DAY 2: After Breakfast from  Sankri to Taluka By taxi (11km) Same Day trek to Cheludgad /seema (13 km) (2700 mt),(4/5 Hrs) .
Over night stay in tents after have breakfast start trek beautiful forest on the way and look like animals thrive in this region. One can spot langoor families near Puani Garaat. Black bears, wild boars and Barasingha are few of the other animals you can spot if you’re lucky. Golden eagles and massive Himalayan griffins also live here. The colourful Himalayan monal, the state bird of Uttarakhand, thrives in the forests here.
There is a four-wheel-drive road that connects Sankri with Taluka. You can hire a jeep (locally) for this, subject to the condition of the road. This is a landslide prone-route, and is often closed during the monsoons. The trail to Taluka is almost level, going through 10-11 mountain bends. On the way, there are three big streams, almost submerging sections of the road in water. The hike is scenic, going past a series of wild roses and irises; bamboo, chestnut and cedar (deodar) trees. DAY 3: After breakfast from Seema (Cheludgad) to Devsu Bugyal (6km)(3/4hrs)  (3000.Mt) Over night stay in tents
Morning at breakfast and with hot lunch camp side Trek Start to Devsu Bugeyal on a gradual ascent that offers excellent views of the snow-covered mountains and vast valleys with huge waterfalls. The area is home to a number of rare species of Himalayan birds Animal and flowers, and is full of birch and spruce. After the last steep climb of Dinner and overnight Devsu Bugeyal camp side stay at tent !!

DAY 4: After breakfast from Devsu Bugyal to Ruinsara Lake by Trek (12kmt) (6/7hrs)(3500.Mt) over night stay in tents
On Ruinsara lake (3500mt) morning at breakfast and with Pack lunch Trek Start to Ruinsara Lake on a gradual ascent that offers excellent views of the snow-covered mountains and vast valleys with huge waterfalls. The area is home to a number of rare species of Himalayan birds Animal and around area Bhojpatra Tree and Dinner and overnight Ruinsara lake camp side stay at tent!!

DAY 5 : After Breakfast from Ruinsara Lake to Black Peak Base Camp  by trek (7kmt) (5/hrs) (3700.Mt) Over night stay in tents
Morning to breakfast camp side and start to trek with Pack Lunch after breakfast 8 k.m. trek to Odari (3700 mtrs.) foot of Bali pass. Enjoy the majestic view of, Bander Punch and Swargarohini peaks. Camping.

Day 6:- After Breakfast from Kala nag base to Dhumdar Pass 5300 meters In the morning after breakfast we will trek to Kalang base. The trek is moderate. It will take approx 6 hrs to reach the destination for the overnight stay.

Day 7:- After Breakfast from Kala nag base to  Dhumdar Kani  pass to below pass approx 6 hrs to reach the destination for the overnight stay in tents

Day 8:- After Breakfast from Below pass to Bugiyal Camp approx 6/7 hrs to reach the destination for the overnight stay

Day 9:- After Breakfast from Bugiyal camp to Guntu nala camp (5 hrs trek/4650 Mts) ) over night stay in tents.

Day 10:- After Breakfast from Guntu nala camp to Kyarkoti by trek (6 hrs trek (42mtr) ) over night stay in tents.

Day 11:- :- After Breakfast from Kyarkoti to Shepherd camp (3458mtr) ) over night stay in tents.

Day 12:- After Breakfast from Shepherd camp to Jhala camp by trek ((09 Kms/3440 Mts) ) over night stay in tents .

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, andcancellation charges would be as follows

Up to 30 Days: - 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refund.
Between 21 – 30 Days: – 60% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refund.
Between 20 – 11 Days: – 30% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refunded.
Less than 10 Days: – No refund. – See more

Participants must bring:

Backpack of 50 -60 ltrs and Daypack of 20 ltrs.

• Sturdy hiking boots: preferably all leather upper as it provides better ankle support. If you do not own a pair yet, it is advisable that you buy one as soon as possible & wear it often so that they are well broken. This will help prevent blisters.
• Light weight tennis shoes/sandals: for wearing in camp.
• Wool socks: 3 pairs: preferably thick wool socks.
• Nylon socks: 3- Pairs, of the type you wear daily to be worm under the wool socks to prevent blister.
• Hiking shirt: 1 Preferably long sleeve
• Long John top: 2 also known as thermal underwear, preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Warm shirts & pants for camp : 2 each
• Rain cot 1 each
• Warm Jacket: 2
• Wool gloves: 1 pairs as thick as available in the market.
• Long John bottoms: Preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Under wear: 2-3 changes Hiking shorts/ pants: 1
